13, 1948: Born in Paris, France, Prince Paul is the son of HRH Carol
Mircea of Romania and of Helena Henriette Nagavitzine. His father is the
first born son of King Carol II of Romania from his first marriage to
Princess Ioana Valentina Lambrino.
1959 - 1961 : Prince Paul studied in France under the tutelage
of the Jesuits.
1962 - 1964 : studying with Private Tutor in Oxford, England.
1965 - 1968 : Graduated from Millfield College in Somerset, England.
1974 - 1976 : After he finished his studies he launched a successful
business career. With interests in London, Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, Geneva,
Washington, New York, Lima-Peru, New Delhi-India.
1986-1988 : He write his best-selling book: King Carol II. A
life of my Grandfather" published by Methuen, London, England.
1988-1989 - wrote a biography in French, “Carol II Roi de Roumanie",
published in 1991 by Edition Denoel, and created the Humanitarian Association
France- Roumanie.
1990 : Prince Paul, became the first member of The Romanian Royal
Family to come back to Romania.
1991 : Published in Romania, by Holding Reporter- Bucharest “ Carol
al II lea, Rege al Romaniei”. He has donated over 80.000 copies to
our universities, libraries and high schools.
- Prince Paul established The Prince Paul Foundation for Romania,
which has been named one of the success story of Eastern Europe with documentable
donations of over 4 million dollar worth of new medical equipment, medicines,
scholarships, school renovations, etc *(See Foundation)
1994 : He edited “In Orbit of Satan” the political memoirs
HM King Carol II written during his exile, and covers the period between
the two great wars.
1995 : Prince Paul marries Lia Triff, an American women
of Romanian origin, at the ancient Orthodox Monastery of Casin, Bucharest,
Romania.( see marriage photos)
1999 : HRH Prince Paul of Romania creates the National Party
of Reconciliation.
2000 : Is invited to become a candidate in the Presidential
Elections 2000.
He is now devoting himself with his wife
Princess Lia to promoting the image of Romania abroad, to lobbying for
Romania’s entry into NATO and the European Union.
